The Turlocktoonskwad wants to thank all of you for the great participation in this year's JuneToon challenge. I had tons of fun and we hope you all did as well. This year we managed to rack up over 4600 posts. That's over 200 more than last year. That is an amazing feat. Hopefully next year we can hit the 5K mark, as more artists join.

What I learned this year

I decided to do original sketch cards this year with a Mash-Up theme of My favorite cartoons and the MCU. I don't normally do mash-ups but I got the itch for it, and what better way to practice it than in this challenge. This year I learned to have patience and not rush my sketches. With the Upperdeck cards, I always feel rushed. I paced myself this time and I had only the restrictions I gave myself, which were not many. I had a lot of fun strolling through memory lane with my own drawings as well with all the posts I saw under the Junetoon hashtag. There were times I felt like "Damn, why didn't I draw that guy!", but I stuck to my guns and it worked out.
