Staying Busy
Hi Everyone, It's been a few weeks since the crazy COVID-19 pandemic appeared and wreaked havoc on a lot of my plans and I am assuming yours as well. Because I had to take some time to set myself up to work from home, I have haven't been able to write on my blog to give you guys the updates I've promised. I have been working on pages still but not as consistently as I have before. With our little one being home and us having to be teachers at home, I've had little time to do any actual drawing.
I'm looking forward to making some changes in the coming weeks. I'm planning on coming up with a blogging schedule to keep you guys informed.
The last page I worked on had me exercise that background muscle that I said I would attempt to work on. As you guys know, backgrounds are not really my strong suit, but I am going to work on that until it becomes one of my strengths. Nothing makes perfect better than practice, so that's what I'm going to continue to do.
Pariah the comic
I recently had to pause from working on Ghosts in order to collaborate with talented artist Aki Aslan. Here is a sneak peek of some of the pages I've worked on as well as the character design for one of the main characters in his book. Now I can't give too much of the story so if you want to know more about it, head on over to @Pariahthecomic Instagram page for more info on the book.
These are trying times for all of us. Yet, they are also times to reflect on things that we have been doing and things that we haven't been doing. This is a great time to brush up on your art if you haven’t been creating, spend time with your family if you haven't had time to do that, kick some bad habits, and just reevaluate your life in general. I hope you are all taking care of health and staying as safe as possible.
Until next time, #drawwatuwant.
