Roughing it!

It's been a while since I have hit you with some news as to how I am doing with my Ghosts comic, but here it is. It's been a gruesome challenge to juggle projects such as commissions and Uppderdeck sketch cards, but now that some of those things are dead and gone, I want to continue my book.

In this panel, which will be on one of the pages in the book, I wanted to show a little more of how Dais (that's the little creature in the foreground) likes to hang around Argus (that's the lady in the seat. It helps to sketch the different elements in different colors to help me figure out what I am looking at. Often times I get lost when I put a lot of details on my drawings and when it comes to the inking, I have inked certain things incorrectly, or left them out altogether. Again, these are just my roughs so you might see things change later on. Still, this is where I lay the foundation of what's to come. The next step after roughs is "tights" (not to be confused with leggings). "Tights" is where I tighten up the sketch and omit things I don't want while keeping things I want for the inking process. But I'll get into that on a later post.

If you have any questions regarding the tools I use or my process, feel free to comment below, or send me a message on my Instagram. Thank you again for tuning in.

Until next time, Happy Holidays and,  #drawwatuwant.
