I don't know how many of you reading this are artists, but if you are, you'll understand how when you are working on a project that you are passionate about, life happens to get in the way of you finishing it on a timely manner. This is one of the reasons I want to document as much as I can about the process. In between parent-teacher conferences, 9 to 5 job, and family events, I barely get enough time to work on my book. This is why I decided to make it a challenge. If you are also trying to create a comic book of your own, I urge you to please check out this hashtag and use it on your posts #makeacomicbookchallenge. The challenge is simple: Draw at least one panel every day. When Since I am in the "roughs" stage when I say "draw" I mean try to get as much information for that panel as you can, so by the time you come around for tights you can understand what is going on on the page and can clean your lines up.
If you'd like to download a copy of my digital comic book artboard, click on the image to the right to do so. It is a PDF file at 300 DPI. Once you download it, you can place it in your background layer and it will serve as your guide to creating your comic.
Until next time, #drawwatuwant.
